About Jillyn Sue
Jillyn Sue Hess is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Hess is the Managing Partner at Hess-Verdon & Associates PLC, a law firm located in Newport Beach, California. She has been practicing law for over 35 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Ms. Hess earned her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law, graduating in 1989. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Western State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986. During her time at Western State University College of Law, she developed a strong foundation in legal principles that have guided her extensive career.
Ms. Hess concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, business law, and real estate law. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving estate administration, trust litigation, business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions. Her practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hess has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Ms. Hess is an active member of the California State Bar Association. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. She is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Ms. Hess is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
