About Jessica
Jessica Estorga built her path to the law in Texas classrooms and courtrooms. She earned a B.A. in political science and religion from Trinity University in 2007 and completed her J.D. at St. Mary s University School of Law in 2012. Early civic service informed her sensibilities: she served in AmeriCorps VISTA in 2008 before entering legal training.
Her law school years were busy and practical. In 2010 she worked as an intern in the Bexar County District Lawyer s Office on white collar crime matters. That same year she took cases through the St. Mary s Center for Legal and Social Justice immigration clinic and served as a law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. After graduation she began work as a contract lawyer at the Law Office of Laura Winget- Hernandez in 2012.
Estorga moved into private practice soon after. In 2013 she opened Estorga Law and handled a range of client matters. She later joined Rogers Garcia Patton PLLC as a partner and lawyer in 2017. In 2019 she established Estorga Johnson Law Office PLLC. Across those years she alternated between courtroom roles and negotiated resolutions, gaining hands-on experience in both arenas.
Mediation has become a prominent element of her practice. She is a Certified Texas Mediator through Mediators & Arbitrators of America and holds an Advanced Family Mediation Certification from Transitions Mediation Center. She volunteers as a mediator at the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center and is a member of the Association of Lawyer-Mediators and the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association.
Her professional affiliations also reflect long-standing ties to the San Antonio legal community. She is a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Criminal Defense Association, the Mexican American Bar Association, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. She has served on boards as well, including a board role with CommuniCare beginning in 2021 and earlier service on the YMCA Youth and Government of Texas board and the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association board between 2015 and 2019.
Colleagues describe her work as pragmatic and steady, grounded in courtroom experience and an emphasis on dispute resolution. She combines litigation experience from early clerkships and local prosecutorial work with certified mediation skills. She currently practices from Estorga Johnson Law Office PLLC and focuses her practice on both litigated matters and mediated settlements.
