About Simone

Simone Nisbett took a path that began in business and led to law. She studied business administration at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and later earned her J.D. from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law. The combination of a business degree and a law degree shows throughout her practice. She moves easily between transactional problems and courtroom strategy.

Her early work was in the nonprofit sector. In 2018 she served as Pro Bono Program Manager at Legal Services of North Florida, where she coordinated volunteer lawyers and helped expand access to legal help for low-income clients. That role put operational and program management experience on her resume and shaped how she approaches client intake and case triage.

In 2021 she joined Kearney, McWilliams & Davis as a litigation and intellectual property clerk. The position involved research, drafting, and supporting trial preparation. She remained with the firm and in 2023 transitioned into a lawyer role there, handling business, intellectual property, and litigation matters. That stretch gave her hands-on experience in managing disputes and advising on IP protections for businesses.

In 2024 she moved to Fifth House Law, PLLC as a business, IP and entertainment lawyer. Her practice now encompasses transactional work, contract drafting, licensing matters, and litigation support. She works on trademark and copyright issues as well as the commercial agreements that arise in entertainment projects. Her previous nonprofit and clerkship work informs how she balances legal strategy with practical client needs.

She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and in Texas. Clients see a lawyer who combines business training and courtroom experience. She handles disputes and transactions, drafts and negotiates contracts, and advises on IP protections in creative and commercial settings. As of 2026 she continues to practice in business, intellectual property, and entertainment law, serving clients in matters that cross transactional and litigation lines.
