About Jeremy R
Jeremy R Miller earned his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, completing his studies in 2007 after beginning his legal education in 2004. He built a foundation in law school that combined traditional study with attention to emerging issues in privacy and technology. Early coursework and clinics exposed him to the kind of cross-disciplinary problems that would characterize his later practice.
His first professional role listed is as lead associate at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2007. That position involved work on projects that drew on both legal analysis and operational concerns. In 2015 he joined Christensen Law as an associate lawyer, where he handled client matters in areas that included family law and regulatory questions. In 2017 he established Miller Family Law, where he is the owner and manages a caseload that spans personal and technical issues.
Miller also holds a Certified Information Security Manager credential from ISACA, currently listed as inactive. The certification reflects formal training in information security management, an area that intersects with his memberships in privacy and cyberlaw organizations. He maintains current memberships in the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the Utah State Bar sections for Cyberlaw, Family Law, and Health Law. He is also active in the Salt Lake Chamber and serves as chair of the board of directors for South Valley Services.
Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He tends to combine practical problem solving with attention to procedural detail. That mix is evident in matters that touch both private family disputes and questions about data, compliance, and institutional policy. He has handled cases and client counseling that require translating technical concepts into clear legal advice.
Miller’s practice sits at the intersection of family law and issues that involve privacy or health-related information. He often advises clients on the legal consequences that arise when personal matters also involve records, electronic communications, or institutional policies. He also participates in local civic and professional organizations, contributing to governance and outreach while running his firm.
He is licensed to practice in Utah and operates Miller Family Law. His current practice focuses on family law matters that intersect with privacy, cyberlaw, and health information concerns.
