About Jeremy Darwin
Jeremy Darwin Huie is an attorney admitted to the State Bar of California on December 9, 1997. He is currently a partner at Bassi, Edlin, Huie & Blum LLP, where he focuses on complex litigation, particularly in asbestos and product liability cases.
Huie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993. He then attended the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1997. During his time in law school, he served as the Symposium Editor for the West-Northwest Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and completed a clerkship with the Office of Regional Counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX.
His practice areas include complex litigation, where he serves as first-chair trial counsel and National Coordinating Counsel, defending clients in various matters. Huie has extensive experience in trials and litigation, specifically focusing on cases involving asbestos and product liability.
Throughout his career, Huie has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer from 2014 to 2021 and was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2009 to 2014. He has authored a two-volume treatise titled "California Depositions" and published several articles on topics related to asbestos litigation and liability. Additionally, he has contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Professor teaching Legal Writing & Research at UC Law San Francisco from 2000 to 2006.
