Charles C. Kelly is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1986. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Kelly is a partner at Hersh & Hersh, a law firm located at 1388 Sutter St, Suite 608, San Francisco, CA 94109. He has been practicing law for over 40 years, serving clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mr. Kelly earned his Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 1985, graduating cum laude. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1982. During his time at Indiana University, he was recognized for his academic excellence, graduating cum laude.

Mr. Kelly concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury law, consumer law, and product liability. He represents individuals in matters involving premises liability, product defects, and general negligence. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kelly has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Notably, he was a finalist for the Consumer Attorneys of California’s Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2008 for his work on Johns v. Simplicity, Inc., which resulted in the largest infant crib recall in history.

Mr. Kelly is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the San Francisco Bay Area effectively.
