About Jennifer
Jennifer Williams built a legal path that crosses courtroom work, private practice and teaching. She earned a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1997 and completed her J.D. at Regent University School of Law in 2007. Early in her career she stepped into academia, serving as an adjunct professor at Hampton University the same year she finished law school.
Her early prosecutorial roles came soon after. In 2008 she joined the Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth's Lawyer as an Assistant Commonwealth's Lawyer. She returned to public prosecution in 2017 at the Office of the Newport News Commonwealth's Lawyer. Those stints gave her day-to-day courtroom experience and exposure to the procedural side of criminal practice.
In 2009 she launched The Law Office of Jennifer M. Williams, PLLC, moving into private practice as a principal lawyer. That venture placed her on the other side of the courtroom, representing clients in matters that required an individualized approach. After years of running her own shop she later took associate positions, joining Livesay & Myers, P.C. in 2021 and then Raheen Family Law, P.C. in 2023. The sequence shows a lawyer who has moved between independent practice and collaborative firm environments.
Her work has spanned public and private roles. She has experience in prosecution from her time with the Commonwealth's offices and has represented private clients through her own firm and in later associate roles. Teaching at Hampton University added an academic dimension early on. Across those roles she handled litigation and client counseling, and she developed familiarity with court procedures and negotiation.
Williams is admitted in Virginia. Her career traces two decades of steady practice, beginning with her law school graduation in 2007 and moving through positions in both city Commonwealth offices and private firms. She now practices at Raheen Family Law, P.C., where she works on family law matters.
