About Jennifer Lynn

Jennifer Lynn Fuschetti took a straight path into the law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at the College of William and Mary and then went on to receive a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Those two institutions, one rooted in Virginia and the other on the West Coast, helped shape a legal perspective that spans regions and legal cultures.

Her legal training at UCLA placed her in a demanding academic environment. Law school gave her exposure to both litigation and transactional coursework, and it honed the research and writing skills that lawyers rely on. Before entering private practice she completed the kinds of intensive legal projects that often mark early-career attorneys, then moved into practice across several state jurisdictions.

Fuschetti is admitted to practice in Virginia, New Jersey and New York. That tri-state admission allows her to take on matters that cross state lines or raise issues in multiple courts. For clients who face legal questions touching more than one jurisdiction, having counsel admitted in those states can simplify coordination and court filings. She has built a practice that recognizes how regional differences in procedure and precedent affect outcomes.

She is currently of counsel at Garriott Maurer. At the firm she handles matters that require an understanding of procedural nuances and state-by-state variation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing cases and careful in managing deadlines. Her education and multistate admissions inform a practice style that tends toward clear writing and precise legal analysis.

Outside the courtroom, Fuschetti’s background in both an East Coast liberal arts college and a large West Coast law school gives her a range of perspectives to draw on when advising clients. She is comfortable explaining complex legal concepts in plain terms and assembling the factual record that courts and opposing counsel require. That practical orientation shows up in how she approaches initial client interviews and litigation planning.

Her career path is straightforward rather than flashy. She moved from academic preparation into multistate practice and into a firm environment where coordination and attention to process matter. Today she works at Garriott Maurer and handles matters that arise in Virginia, New Jersey and New York, focusing on cross-jurisdictional issues in her current practice.
