About Jennifer
Jennifer Hothem earned her J.D. from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School in 2013. She moved quickly into courtroom work. Early on she spent a summer in 2015 clerking for the Hall County Superior Court, where she observed litigation and the daily mechanics of case management.
After the clerkship she launched her legal practice. In 2016 she opened Hothem Legal, LLC and served clients as a lawyer there for several years. The firm handled a range of civil matters and provided a foundation in client advocacy and negotiation. That experience prepared her for a role in a larger team environment.
In 2021 Hothem became a partner at Davies Hothem Injury Law. The change marked a shift toward practice at a firm focused on injury claims. As a partner she manages cases, works with other attorneys, and participates in strategy for complex matters. Colleagues describe her as steady in court and thorough in preparing case files.
Her legal standing is grounded in membership in the State Bar of Georgia. She is licensed to practice in Georgia and remains active in the state bar. That membership keeps her current on procedural changes and local practice rules. It also connects her to other practitioners around the state.
The trajectory of Hothem’s career is one of steady progression: law school, a court clerkship, a solo practice, and then partnership at a specialized firm. Each step added new responsibilities and broadened her exposure to trial preparation, client counseling, and settlement negotiations. She has spent most of her professional life focusing on disputes that arise from accidents and injuries, learning how those claims are evaluated and litigated.
She handles the everyday demands of case development—medical records, depositions, and settlement talks—as well as the longer-term planning that complex litigation requires. Her courtroom experience and earlier clerkship inform how she frames arguments and predicts procedural turns.
Today she practices at Davies Hothem Injury Law. Her work involves representing clients in personal injury matters and managing cases from intake through resolution. She continues to maintain her State Bar of Georgia membership and practices law in Georgia.
