About Jenna
Jenna Fletcher earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2012 after beginning her studies in 2009. Her time at law school included the routine demands of clinic work and trial preparation that often shape early trial lawyers, and she left prepared to take on courtroom work.
After law school, Fletcher moved into public defense. In 2014 she joined the Office of the Public Defender in Florida’s 6th Judicial Circuit as a trial lawyer. The role put her in the courtroom on a regular basis. She handled arraignments, pretrial hearings and jury trials. That early experience gave her repeated opportunities to try cases, examine witnesses and argue motions under real-time pressure.
Her work in the public defender’s office covered a range of criminal matters. She handled misdemeanor and felony dockets and managed cases through plea negotiations as well as trial settings. The caseload required quick factual assessments and careful record-keeping. It also required adapting advocacy strategies to different judges and juries across the circuit.
Fletcher has maintained ties to professional circles since earning her degree in 2012. Those affiliations have kept her connected to peers and the practical developments that shape day-to-day defense work. Colleagues describe her as someone who learned the craft of courtroom advocacy early and then continued to apply those lessons in successive matters.
Today she is licensed to practice in Florida and continues to work in criminal defense. Her experience includes courtroom trial work, client counseling, motion practice and plea negotiations. She represents clients in trial court and handles the full life cycle of defense matters from initial appearance through disposition. Her current practice centers on defending individuals accused of criminal offenses and managing the procedural demands that accompany trial-level work.
