About Jeffrey T.

Jeffrey T. Dickson built his path to the law through a steady progression of study and early public service. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College in 2003 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Montana School of Law in 2007. Those years supplied both classroom training and the groundwork for a legal career that moved quickly from the courtroom to private practice.

Fresh out of law school, Dickson spent a year as a judicial clerk at the Montana Supreme Court. That post exposed him to appellate work and the deliberative side of judging. It also gave him a firsthand view of legal reasoning at the highest state level. He carried that experience into private practice the following year when he joined Christian, Samson & Jones, PLLC as a lawyer in 2008.

By 2011 he was working at McCormick, Fitzpatrick, Kasper & Burchard, P.C. Those years in firm settings rounded out his practical experience. He handled client work, prepared filings and appeared in court. The record shows steady progression from clerkship to roles in established law offices.

Dickson’s professional affiliations tie him closely to Vermont’s legal and civic communities. He is a member of the Vermont Bar Association and the Vermont Association for Justice. He has served on the board of the Vermont Mountain Bike Association and has been its president since 2016. Outside the office he has volunteered as a mentor for Spectrum Youth and Family Services since 2013. Those commitments reflect sustained engagement in both professional networks and local nonprofit work.

His practice has been based in Vermont. The combination of an appellate clerkship early on and subsequent firm experience informs how he approaches cases. He has handled matters that require written advocacy and appearances before judges. Colleagues and contacts describe him as someone who moves comfortably between research, drafting and courtroom work.

Across roles and years, Dickson has kept a steady presence in Vermont’s legal scene. He continues to participate in bar activities and community organizations while maintaining a private practice. His current practice focuses on serving clients in Vermont and representing their interests at various stages of legal proceedings.
