About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Mason brings an uncommon mix of legal training and fine arts education to his work. He began his academic path at the College of William and Mary, earning a B.A. in automotive history in 2009. He returned to Wisconsin for graduate study, completing a J.D. at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2015 alongside an M.A. in Art–Photography that same year. He then added an M.F.A. in Interactive Sculpture from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2016.
Those dual strands—law and studio practice—have shaped the way Mason approaches legal problems. After finishing his studies he entered practice in Wisconsin, where he has worked on matters governed by state law. His legal training sits beside a studio practice informed by photography and sculptural installation. The combination gives him a different set of tools for analyzing contracts, timelines, and practical constraints.
Early in his career Mason moved between project-based creative work and more traditional legal tasks. That experience includes advising on agreements and helping to set realistic expectations for long-term projects. He has also navigated the practicalities of public presentations and installations, where logistics and liability can be as important as the creative concept. Those experiences feed back into his legal practice; they shape how he frames risk and schedules deliverables for clients.
Mason is licensed to practice in Wisconsin. He maintains active involvement in the state legal community and participates in professional activities there. Colleagues note that his background in the arts often prompts different questions early in a matter, which can surface issues that others might miss. He tends to favor clear, concrete plans over abstract theory when advising clients.
He practices at Make It Happen Law, where he handles a range of legal tasks for clients based in Wisconsin. His work is grounded in both legal training and practical experience managing creative projects and installations. His current practice centers on advising clients in Wisconsin through his work at Make It Happen Law.
