About Holly D

Holly D Jensen built a law career that threads through courtrooms, insurance counsel offices and community boards. She blends courtroom work early in her career with corporate legal work and years at a local law firm. The result is a practical, steady presence in Wisconsin’s legal community.

Her academic path began at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, where she earned a B.S. in English and criminal justice in 1996. She spent part of her undergraduate studies abroad at Thames Valley University in London in 1995. Jensen went on to the University of Wisconsin Law School and received her J.D. in 1999.

Jensen’s first post-law school role was as a law clerk and supplemental court commissioner for the Oneida County and Vilas County circuit courts in 1999. That early court experience put her in contact with judges, local lawyers and the day-to-day mechanics of trial dockets. In 2001 she joined Consigny Law Office, S.C. as a lawyer, a position she later resumed in 2013 after time in-house. Between those stints at the firm she served as associate counsel at Wisconsin Physicians Service Insurance Corporation beginning in 2007. Each position added a different kind of legal work to her portfolio: public court processes, insurance-company counsel work, and private practice litigation and client counseling.

Beyond her job titles, Jensen has remained active in bar and civic organizations. She is a member of the Rock County Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin, and she participated in the State Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section. Her community work is broad. She has served on the Hedberg Public Library Board of Trustees and on the library’s friends group. She has also taken leadership roles with Janesville Noon Kiwanis Club, including serving as president, and she has been on the board of directors of VetsRoll, Inc., where she served as a bus leader and trip assistant. Other involvements include the South Central Wisconsin Builders Association and the Blackhawk Human Resource Association.

Jensen’s career shows a steady mix of public service, community involvement and both in-house and private practice law. She has spent most of her professional life practicing in Wisconsin and has affiliations that reflect both legal interests and local civic priorities. She currently practices at Consigny Law Office, S.C., and handles legal matters for clients in Wisconsin.
