About Jeffrey Lawrence

Jeffrey Lawrence Koenig built his legal foundation at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1999. He went on to study law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2002 after beginning his studies there in 1999. Those years shaped his early approach to litigation and public advocacy, and they led directly into a professional career spent in courtroom practice.

Koenig is admitted to practice in both Connecticut and New York. He has been active in organizations that center on trial work for much of his career. He joined the American Association for Justice in 2003 and became a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers in 2005. Those memberships indicate sustained engagement with trial advocacy and continuing legal education offered through those groups.

Over the years Koenig has focused on representing clients in contested matters that require courtroom experience and written advocacy. He regularly handles discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in building cases and steady under the pressure of hearings and trials. He has used those skills across a range of disputes that proceed to trial or are resolved after significant litigation.

He practices at Ferrante & Koenig, PLLC. At the firm he works on litigation matters alongside other attorneys, participating in case strategy, client counseling and the day-to-day demands of managing contested matters. His practice in two states means he must balance differing procedural rules and local court practices; that dual licensure informs how he prepares pleadings and plan hearings.

Outside of courtroom deadlines, Koenig has remained involved in professional circles that support trial lawyers. He maintains active membership in professional associations that provide resources and networking for trial attorneys. His current practice concentrates on litigation in Connecticut and New York, where he continues to represent clients in courtroom proceedings and related legal matters.
