About Jeffrey L.
Jeffrey L. Davis graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1998. He entered practice in New York soon after and built a career centered on courtroom work and client representation. His law school years gave him the training to handle litigation, and he stayed in the city where those skills are most often tested.
He is admitted to practice in New York. Early in his career he worked in local courts and developed familiarity with criminal dockets and procedural practice. Over time he moved from associate roles into positions of greater responsibility. His work in the courthouse exposed him to a wide range of criminal court matters and the rhythms of arraignment parts, preliminary hearings and trial calendars.
In 2007 he became the principal lawyer at The Law Offices of Jeffrey L. Davis. Running his own practice changed how he organized casework. He managed client intake, discovery review and appearances across the boroughs. That period also required him to handle administrative tasks that accompany solo and small-firm practice, including supervising case strategy and maintaining relationships with other attorneys and court staff.
In 2012 he served as Vice Chair of the Criminal Courts Committee of the Queens County Bar Association. That role placed him in a position to work alongside judges, prosecutors and fellow defense attorneys on issues that affect criminal court procedure and practice in Queens. He participated in committee programming and discussions about local court operations. The committee work gave him a perspective on how policy and practice intersect at the courthouse level.
As of 2026 he continues to practice from The Law Offices of Jeffrey L. Davis. His practice remains concentrated on matters that arise in New York criminal courts. He accepts cases and appears in state courts across the city, representing clients in various criminal proceedings as part of his current practice focus.
