About Jeffrey J.
Jeffrey J. Lowe has practiced law for more than three decades. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1980 and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1985. Those academic years set the stage for a long career in litigation across state and federal courts.
After law school, Lowe gained admission to the Missouri bar in 1985. He later expanded his practice to Illinois and secured admissions in several federal trial and appellate courts. His admitted jurisdictions include the United States Courts of Appeals for the 4th, 7th and 8th Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri, and the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois. That mix of state and federal credentials has allowed him to take cases beyond a single courthouse.
Lowe’s professional associations reflect sustained involvement in litigation circles. He has been a member of the Missouri State Bar since 1985. Since 1991 he has held memberships in both the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations indicate a practice rooted in courtroom work and trial procedure.
He is associated with the firm Carey Danis & Lowe. Over the years he has participated in cases that required handling pleadings, discovery and trials in state and federal venues. He is accustomed to preparing matters for jury trial and arguing in court when cases proceed beyond settlement discussions.
Colleagues describe him as taking a pragmatic approach to litigation. He weighs the risks of trial against the costs of resolution and often advises clients on both paths. His background in multiple jurisdictions makes him familiar with varying procedural rules and appellate pathways. That practical knowledge can be useful when clients face multi-jurisdictional disputes or when cases require appeals to circuit courts.
Outside of court appearances, Lowe’s long tenure in trial associations suggests ongoing engagement with the legal community and continuing legal education. He remains active in bar activities that inform litigation practice and courtroom procedure. He currently practices at Carey Danis & Lowe, handling civil litigation and trial matters in Missouri and Illinois and in the federal courts where he is admitted.
