About Tyson
Tyson Mutrux built a practice around courtroom work and case handling that starts at the office and ends in the courtroom when needed. He grew up professionally in the Midwest legal scene and pursued law after completing an undergraduate degree in business. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2006 and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2010.
His early career began in private practice. In 2009 he worked as an associate at Brown & Brown, where he handled routine litigation tasks and developed early trial experience. A year later he took on a leadership role at a firm he helped build, becoming managing partner at The Mutrux Firm Injury Lawyers in 2010. That position moved him into day-to-day management as well as active litigation and client representation.
In 2017 he became a partner at Mutrux Finney, PC. That role broadened his exposure to complex case coordination and firm administration while he continued to litigate. Across these positions he has managed discovery, argued motions, and prepared matters for trial. Colleagues describe him as methodical in litigation preparation and straightforward when speaking with judges and juries.
Mutrux practices in Missouri and is licensed to appear in state courts there. His work has centered on injury-related matters, representing individuals who claim bodily harm from accidents and other incidents. He has guided cases from initial intake through settlement negotiations and trials. He is comfortable handling depositions, expert witness coordination, and post-trial proceedings.
Outside the courtroom he oversees firm operations and mentors younger lawyers at his firm. He balances casework with administrative duties, assigning resources and setting litigation strategies. He has maintained membership in professional associations and participates in the local legal community.
Clients and peers see him as pragmatic and detail-oriented. He emphasizes preparation and clear communication in every stage of a case. Today he leads a practice at The Mutrux Firm Injury Lawyers and represents clients in personal injury matters there.
