About Cameron
Cameron Throneberry finished law school as the decade turned. He earned his J.D. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, completing his studies in 2020 after beginning the program in 2018. The law degree came at a time when many recent graduates were rethinking how to practice law; he moved into bar membership and courtroom preparation without delay.
After graduation, Throneberry began building a multi-jurisdictional practice. He joined the State Bar of Illinois in 2021 and became a member of The Missouri Bar in 2022. He added a further professional membership in 2023. Those memberships reflect a willingness to work where clients need representation and to handle matters that cross state lines.
His early years in practice were marked by steady development rather than headline cases. He has handled client matters under the regulatory and civil umbrellas and has worked on matters that require coordination across Illinois, Missouri and Florida. Colleagues describe him as methodical in legal research and practical in courtroom preparation. He tends to break complex questions into manageable parts and to prioritize clear communication with clients.
Throneberry’s memberships in multiple state bars has shaped his approach to casework. He pays attention to how procedural rules differ between jurisdictions. That attention to detail shows up in filings, scheduling and case strategy. He also brings law school training up to date; his coursework at Southern Illinois included litigation fundamentals and comparative procedure that remain relevant to the work he does now.
He practices at SWMW Law. At the firm he has taken on matters that require both local knowledge and interstate coordination. The office environment at SWMW Law combines small-firm client contact with access to resources that support more complex litigation. Throneberry has fit into that environment by focusing on sound preparation and clear courtroom papers.
Outside of casework he has maintained his bar memberships and continued to expand the jurisdictions in which he can represent clients. That professional path has given him a practical perspective on how to manage cases that touch several state systems. He currently practices at SWMW Law and handles matters arising in Illinois, Missouri and Florida.
