About Jeffrey Charles
Jeffrey Charles Coller earned his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2011 after completing a B.S. in psychology at Missouri State University in 2006. His academic path combined an understanding of human behavior with legal training, a combination that would shape his later work in criminal cases. He completed law school on the heels of undergraduate studies that emphasized analytical thinking and interpersonal awareness.
He entered practice soon after law school. In 2012 he joined Javitch, Block & Rathbone, LLC as an associate, where he gained experience on a range of matters that touch on criminal defense. A few years later he struck out on his own. In 2015 he opened The Law Office of Jeffrey C. Coller, offering direct client representation and courtroom work.
In 2016 he became a partner at Coller & Evans - Lawyers At Law. That partnership broadened his exposure to trials and pretrial strategy. By 2019 he had returned to solo practice as owner of Jeffrey Coller - Knoxville Criminal Defense Lawyer. The sequence of roles—associate, solo practitioner, partner, and owner—reflects steady movement toward handling cases at every stage, from initial investigation through trial and appeal.
Training and specialized certifications are a prominent part of his résumé. He has completed the Drug Recognition Expert Course and the DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing program administered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. He also attended a summer session in DUI Defense Law at Harvard Law School. Those programs inform his work on impaired-driving cases and related investigations.
Coller is admitted to practice in Tennessee and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee. He holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the National College for DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Locally, he has been active in the Campbell County Bar Association, serving as vice president and later president.
His practice centers on criminal defense in Knoxville and nearby jurisdictions. He represents clients in DUI and drug cases and handles other criminal matters in state and federal court. He currently concentrates his practice on criminal defense in Knoxville, including DUI and related offenses in state and federal courts.
