About Jeff

Jeff Shiver earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia, completing a B.B.A. before taking his J.D. in 2004. He finished law school at a time when many of his classmates were heading into established firms and public service. Shiver chose to remain in Georgia and build a practice rooted in the states legal ecosystem.

After law school, Shiver became active in the legal community in Georgia. He holds membership in the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association. Those memberships have supplemented his practical work and given him regular contact with colleagues across disciplines. He has also been involved with the Atlanta Bar Association, where local legal issues and professional development are common topics.

Shivers professional affiliations lean toward trial work and lawyer development. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and serves as Co-Chair of the GTLA New Lawyers Division Outreach Committee. That committee work has involved recruitment and programming aimed at newer attorneys. He also serves as a barrister in the Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court, a group that brings together judges and lawyers to study ethics, advocacy and trial technique.

Colleagues describe Shiver as a lawyer who treats professional associations as part of the practice. He attends meetings, takes part in panels and works on outreach projects designed to bring newer lawyers into the trial bar. His involvement in both statewide and local organizations reflects an interest in the institutions that shape courtroom practice in Georgia.

Shivers career shows a blend of courtroom orientation and civic engagement. The organizations he belongs to emphasize litigation and trial procedure, and his committee duties center on mentoring and outreach. That combination has informed how he approaches cases and trains younger attorneys who come through his practice.

He has not positioned himself as a public figure on high-profile cases. Instead, his professional life has been organized around steady participation in bar activities, peer education and trial-related work. Those activities have created professional ties across Georgias legal community and helped sustain a practice that relies on courtroom advocacy.

He currently practices in Georgia and focuses his work on trial and civil litigation matters within the state.
