About Jeana
Jeana Vogel built a foundation in politics and communication before she turned to law. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Florida in 2005 and studied American Sign Language as a minor. Vogel remained in the Tampa Bay area for law school and received her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2008. While there, she completed a Family Law Certificate that later shaped much of her practice.
Her entry into legal work began long before graduation. Vogel worked as a legal assistant at Robert E. Taylor, P.A. from 2001, then moved into paralegal work at Sponsler, Bennett, Jacobs & Adams P.A. in 2005. During law school she served as a research assistant and spent a summer law clerkship with Brandon L. Kolb, P.A. Those early roles gave her routine experience in drafting, client intake and courtroom preparation.
After earning her law degree in 2008, Vogel joined McBath Law Office, P.A. as an attorney. She spent several years there handling courtroom matters and client counseling. In 2011 she took on a leadership role as Head Family Law Lawyer at Jodat Law Group, P.A., overseeing case strategy and staff workflows in the family law unit. Three years later she moved into partnership at Law Office of Ayo & Iken PLC, a step that broadened her responsibilities to include firm management alongside client work.
Vogel is licensed to practice in Florida and maintains membership in local and state bar groups. She has been listed with the Hillsborough County Bar Association since 2009 and the Florida Bar Association since 2019. Her practice is associated with the Manatee – Sarasota Office, where she handles hearings and client meetings in the region.
Her training and case history center on family law matters. The Family Law Certificate she earned at Florida Coastal underpins work in divorce, child custody and child support cases. Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and pragmatic in settlement talks. She has handled contested hearings, negotiated settlement agreements and prepared parenting plans for clients across several counties.
Vogel balances courtroom work with client counseling and case management. She splits time between hearings and office consultations and supervises litigation support when cases require it. Her current practice centers on family law matters in the Manatee–Sarasota area.
