About Jay
Jay McManigal earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2010. He completed his studies at a time when the legal landscape was shifting, and he entered practice as the economy and courts adjusted. The Seton Hall credential provided a foundation in litigation and legal research that shaped his early career.
He is admitted to practice in both Georgia and New Jersey. Early on he joined The Shaul Law Office, where he gained hands-on experience in day-to-day law practice. That position exposed him to client intake, case preparation and courtroom procedure. Colleagues from that period remember him as methodical and steady in the courtroom and at counsel table.
McManigal maintains an active membership in the State Bar of Georgia. That membership reflects ongoing professional ties in the state where he does much of his work. He stays connected to bar resources and local rules, and he routinely monitors developments that affect litigation and client counseling.
Over the years he has handled a range of matters arising in the two states where he is licensed. He has navigated procedural challenges and managed files that require coordination across state lines. His practice has required attention to detail, deadlines and the differing procedural rules that govern courts in Georgia and New Jersey.
Colleagues describe his approach as grounded rather than flashy. He favors careful preparation and clear written work. He has experience moving cases through the pretrial stages and has experience preparing for hearings and trials. That practical orientation guides how he assesses options for clients and prepares files for opposing counsel or the court.
Today he is based at Shaul Law, PC. His work continues to draw on the experience he accumulated at The Shaul Law Office earlier in his career. He spends time advising clients, drafting pleadings and handling procedural matters in court. He balances courtroom preparation with client communication, aiming to keep matters moving and clients informed about next steps.
He currently practices at Shaul Law, PC, handling legal matters in Georgia and New Jersey.
