Jason Robert Burdick is an attorney with over 20 years of experience, currently practicing in West Des Moines, Iowa. Burdick earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he served on the Iowa Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and English from the University of Iowa, where he was a member of the Dean’s List and received the Sterg O’Dell Scholarship for outstanding leadership and scholarship.
His practice areas include family law, criminal law, juvenile law, landlord-tenant law, and domestic violence. Within family law, he addresses issues such as child custody, divorce, child support, and adoption, among others. In criminal law, his expertise covers various offenses, including drug crimes, theft, and violent crimes. Before establishing Burdick Law, Jason Burdick practiced in California and later returned to Des Moines, Iowa. He spent eight years at Iowa Legal Aid, serving as a managing attorney in the Central Iowa office, specializing in family law, tax, disability, and landlord-tenant matters. He is admitted to practice in both California and Iowa state courts.
Burdick is actively involved in his community, coaching youth athletics and volunteering with local sports organizations. He resides in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines with his wife and three children, where he participates in community events and enjoys family activities, including cheering on the Hawkeyes and long-distance running with his dog.
