About Jason R.
Jason R. Ohliger took a conventional path into law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in philosophy from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 2002. He then completed his legal studies at Temple University Beasley School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. Those academic years laid a clear foundation for a career spent practicing across several state systems.
Fresh out of law school, Ohliger joined Weinstein, Schneider et al. as an associate in 2005. He spent the next decade building experience at the firm. In 2017 he became a partner at Weinstein, Zimmerman & Ohliger. The shift from associate to partner marked a steady professional progression rather than an abrupt change. He remained with the firm as it evolved and expanded its bench.
Ohliger is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He maintains memberships in professional organizations, including the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. Those credentials allow him to take cases and advise clients across a tri-state area. Colleagues describe him as steady in the management of cases and practical in his courtroom approach.
Over the years he has handled matters that require coordination across state lines. That work demands attention to differing procedural rules and deadlines. It also requires clear communication with clients who may be located in different jurisdictions. Ohliger’s practice reflects that operational complexity. He is experienced in preparing filings, managing discovery and working with co-counsel when matters cross borders.
He divides his time between the firm’s New York office and the firm’s main office. In those settings he works with a team of attorneys and staff to move cases forward. He has taken part in hearings and pretrial proceedings, and he handles client counseling as part of case development. His role as partner involves both casework and decisions about how the firm deploys resources.
Outside of courtroom activity, Ohliger participates in the professional community through association membership and routine bar-related work. He stays active in the three jurisdictions where he is licensed and keeps current on procedural changes that affect litigation practice. His current practice concentrates on representing clients in matters across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
