About Jason
Jason LaRocco completed his undergraduate studies at Villanova University in 1995 and returned to Vermont Law School for graduate work. He earned both a Master of Studies in Environmental Law and a Juris Doctor in 2001. Those dual degrees gave him a technical and legal foundation early in his career.
He built his practice in the Mid-Atlantic. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He serves as a partner at Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP, where he has been a firm leader in courtroom and pretrial matters.
LaRocco’s memberships shed light on the kinds of matters he handles. He belongs to the Defense Research Institute and the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel, organizations that gather lawyers who represent defendants in civil litigation. He is also a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania State Bar, and the New Jersey State Bar. Those group affiliations keep him connected to developments in both state and federal practice across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and pragmatic at the negotiating table. He prepares for disputes that arise in state and federal forums, managing discovery, motions practice, and trials when cases progress that far. His background in environmental law informs part of his approach to complex regulatory and contested matters, even as he litigates other types of civil cases.
He has represented clients in matters brought in state courts and in the federal district courts where he holds admission. That hands-on courtroom work is paired with mentoring junior lawyers at the firm and handling the day-to-day demands of partnership. He balances docket pressures with client calls and strategy sessions.
LaRocco practices from Reger Rizzo & Darnall’s offices and maintains an active practice in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania courts where he is licensed. His current practice covers civil litigation and defense work in both state and federal courts.
