About Jason

Jason Krautkramer combined training in accounting and law to build a practice that sits at the intersection of tax and estate planning. He earned a B.B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2010 and followed that with a Master of Accountancy, emphasizing taxation, in 2011. Krautkramer completed his legal education at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2015, concentrating his studies in estate planning.

While in law school he worked in the University of Wisconsin Neighborhood Law Clinic in 2013, gaining hands-on experience assisting clients with practical legal problems. The following year he served as a law clerk at Daubert Law Office, LLC, a role that bridged academic study and day-to-day practice and prepared him for the responsibilities of a practicing attorney.

After graduating and entering practice in 2015, Krautkramer continued at Daubert Law Office as a lawyer. That period allowed him to expand his courtroom familiarity and client work in matters tied to estates and tax concerns. In 2019 he joined Eckert Law, LLC where he serves as a lawyer. The move reflected a steady progression from student clinics and clerkship to sustained client representation.

Krautkramer’s dual background in accounting and law shapes how he approaches cases. He draws on his tax training from graduate study when advising clients on estate planning choices, and he uses accounting principles to evaluate financial implications in probate and business succession matters. He handles drafting wills and trusts, advising on probate procedures, and counseling small business owners on entity and transfer issues. His practice involves both counseling and document drafting, and he is comfortable explaining technical tax and financial concepts in straightforward terms.

He has been admitted to practice in Wisconsin since 2015 and maintains his license there. That admission matches the timeline of his early roles and continued practice in the state. Colleagues and clients see him most often on matters where legal doctrine and tax mechanics meet, rather than in litigated disputes alone.

Krautkramer lives and works in Wisconsin and continues to develop his practice at Eckert Law, LLC. He currently focuses his practice on estate planning, tax-related issues, probate, and small business matters.
