Dale Michael Eaton is a partner at Eaton Law, LLP, located at 513 Grant Street in Wausau, Wisconsin. He has been practicing law in Wisconsin since 1993, focusing on medical malpractice, personal injury, business litigation, and family law. Before establishing his practice in Wausau, Attorney Eaton gained experience with law firms in Boston and Milwaukee. Notably, he provided full-time litigation support for a prominent Boston firm handling plaintiff asbestos and tobacco claims. This firm managed numerous asbestos and mesothelioma cases associated with Massachusetts area shipyards and factories and was co-lead counsel in one of the first successful prosecutions of tobacco companies for lung cancer cases in the nation. In his litigation practice, Attorney Eaton has represented large insurers in defense of substantial construction defect claims and successfully prosecuted complex environmental claims against municipalities and multiple insurers.

He has secured numerous six-figure settlements in personal injury and medical malpractice cases and has experience in business litigation, contract disputes, products liability, insurance disputes, environmental law, and construction defects. In the business sector, Attorney Eaton has negotiated and drafted various contracts, represented small businesses and individuals in business sales, acquisitions, and buy-outs, and handled financial work-outs. He has represented Wausau area manufacturers in multi-state contract litigation and multiple financial institutions in lending-related litigation. Additionally, he successfully prosecuted an intellectual property and contract claim in state and federal court against California defendants. In family law, Attorney Eaton has been a zealous advocate in divorce and legal separation actions, cohabitation dissolutions, custody and physical placement disputes, and child support and maintenance modifications. He has resolved complex marital property disputes involving property brought to the marriage, gifts, inheritances, and businesses.

Attorney Eaton earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Tufts University in 1987 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1993. During law school, he served as Managing Editor of the Wisconsin Law Review and interned for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the University of Wisconsin System General Counsel. He authored "Recovery for Purely Emotional Distress Under the Warsaw Convention: Narrow Construction of Lesion Corporelle in Eastern Airlines, Inc. v. Floyd," published in the 1993 Wisconsin Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and has been involved in various community activities, including serving on the U.S.

Bank – Wausau Advisory Board from 2006 to 2021, acting as a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Marathon County in 1996-1997. Holding positions as President and Director of Emily’s Path, Inc. since 2009. He has also been a Board Member and Volunteer for Sara’s Storybook Garden from 2017 to 2025.
