About Jason
Jason Komninos trained first as a psychologist before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Hartford and later completed his J.D. at Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. That combination of social science and legal training shapes how he assesses cases and communicates with clients.
After law school he entered private practice and established the Law Office of Jason T. Komninos in 2011. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and has kept his practice rooted in the state. Over the years he has maintained active memberships in the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Bergen County Bar Association.
Komninos is also a member of the National College for DUI Defense. That affiliation ties him to a network of lawyers who handle impaired-driving cases and related evidence issues. He has used the organization’s materials and programs to stay current on developments in breath testing, chemical testing and case law that commonly affect DUI cases.
Colleagues and clients describe his style as direct and detail-oriented. He prepares legal filings, evaluates police reports and consults with experts when a case raises technical issues. He spends time explaining the steps of a criminal or traffic matter so clients understand possible outcomes. He also works on administrative issues that can follow a DUI arrest, such as license suspension matters.
Today Komninos practices from his own office in New Jersey. He represents individuals facing impaired-driving charges and handles related criminal and administrative proceedings. His work continues to combine the analytical habits of his undergraduate training with the legal tools he sharpened in law school and in practice.
He currently focuses on DUI defense and related criminal matters in New Jersey.
