About Jason Adam
Jason Adam Volet built a legal career that began in classrooms and moved quickly into courtrooms. He earned his B.A. from Rutgers University in 1995 and completed his J.D. at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1998. Those years set the foundation for a practice shaped by courtroom experience and state-level certification.
After law school Volet entered practice and accumulated experience in New Jersey and New York. He is licensed in both jurisdictions. Over time he concentrated his work on criminal defense, handling trials and pretrial matters across a range of charges. In 2005 he established the Law Office of Jason A. Volet, LLC, creating a small firm intended to provide direct courtroom representation.
Colleagues and clients note that Volet emphasizes preparation. He has sought certification that recognizes trial work specifically. The New Jersey Supreme Court certified him as a Criminal Trial Lawyer, a credential that reflects a subset of attorneys who meet defined standards for trial practice in that state. That certification is part of how he presents his qualifications to judges and opposing counsel in New Jersey matters.
Volet’s practice has involved regular appearances in municipal and superior courts. He has handled bench and jury trials, contested motions, and plea negotiations. He represents individuals facing a variety of criminal charges and manages associated pretrial litigation. His work also requires coordination with investigators, forensic consultants, and mitigation specialists when cases proceed to trial.
Clients find his background in two neighboring state systems useful for matters that touch both jurisdictions. New Jersey and New York criminal laws differ in important respects. Holding licensure in each state allows him to follow cases that cross lines, appear where necessary, and advise clients on the implications of facing charges in either court system.
Outside the courtroom he maintains the administrative responsibilities of running a small firm. That includes case management, client intake, and supervising any support staff or contract professionals involved in complex matters. The office established in 2005 continues to serve as the platform for his courtroom work.
As of 2026 Volet continues to practice criminal law in New Jersey and New York. He practices from the Law Office of Jason A. Volet, LLC and focuses on trial representation and courtroom advocacy for clients facing criminal charges.
