About Jasmine
Jasmine Moore earned her undergraduate degree from Fayetteville State University and completed her law studies at Charlotte School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2017. She moved quickly from classroom to courtroom. That same year she began practicing law in the Fredericksburg area and joined the local bar association.
Her first professional post was as a staff lawyer at Legal Aid Works in Fredericksburg, where she started in 2017. There she took on direct representation for clients who could not otherwise afford counsel, handling client interviews, drafting pleadings and appearing in court. The work put her in contact with a wide cross section of community legal needs and sharpened her practical skills early in her career.
In 2020 she joined Livesay & Myers, P.C. as an associate lawyer. The move brought her into private practice and into a firm environment where case preparation and litigation tactics are day-to-day matters. Colleagues describe her as methodical and steady. She rose to senior associate in 2023, a role that expanded her responsibilities for supervising junior attorneys and managing more complex dockets.
Moore is admitted to practice in Virginia and is also authorized to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. That combination of trial-level and appellate admission informs how she approaches cases. She prepares trial records with an eye to the record on appeal, and she considers procedural posture early when mapping out case strategies.
She has maintained membership in the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association since 2017. The local professional involvement keeps her connected to developments in regional practice and court procedure. It also keeps her visible to referral sources and peers who handle overlapping matters in the same jurisdictions.
Her career shows a steady progression from public-service legal aid work to a senior role in private practice. Tasks that defined her early years — client interviewing, pleadings, courtroom appearances — remain part of her routine. In recent years she has taken on more oversight responsibilities and a heavier docket, while retaining regular client contact.
She practices at Livesay & Myers, P.C., where she handles matters in Virginia and represents clients in proceedings before the Fourth Circuit. Her current practice involves representation in matters in Virginia and before the Fourth Circuit.
