About Jared

Jared Fluckiger is an associate at Racine Olson who combines legal training with graduate study in environmental and natural resources. He completed his J.D. at the University of Wyoming in 2016. In the same year he also earned a master’s degree in Environmental and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming. Earlier, he received a B.S. in Political Science from Utah State University in 2011. The sequence of degrees traces a clear intellectual path from politics into law and environmental policy.

His academic record reflects a blend of policy and legal inquiry. Political science provided an entry point into public institutions and policymaking. The master’s program deepened his exposure to resource management, regulation and related scientific and administrative frameworks. Law school added procedural skills and the doctrinal training required for courtroom work and client counseling. Together those experiences shaped a practice that often sits at the intersection of regulatory questions and litigation.

Fluckiger joined Racine Olson as an associate. At the firm he has taken on matters in Idaho, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts of Idaho. Those admissions allow him to represent clients in both state-level proceedings and federal court. His role at the firm has involved drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and participating in hearings and client strategy sessions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing case files and attentive to the factual record.

He maintains current professional memberships that connect him to peers and to developments in practice and policy. Those affiliations support ongoing engagement with topics that intersect law and natural resources. He also keeps ties to the academic community that informed his graduate studies, drawing on scholarship and regulatory materials when cases demand technical context.

Clients and other attorneys encounter Fluckiger as someone comfortable moving between statutory analysis, administrative records and courtroom procedure. He tends to bring a measured approach to disputes that involve regulatory frameworks, public agencies or contested resource issues. He is equally prepared to address purely civil disputes when those emerge from the same factual matrices.

He lives and practices in Idaho and handles matters in state courts and in the U.S. District Courts of Idaho. He currently practices at Racine Olson, serving clients in matters that draw on his background in law, political science and environmental and natural resources.
