About James Robert
James Robert Haug grew up studying questions of belief and history. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and History from the University of Georgia in 2006 and moved on to legal studies at Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, where he completed his J.D. in 2009. Those years shaped an early interest in how law intersects with civic life and institutional practice.
After law school he entered private practice and within a year helped establish a boutique firm. In 2010 he became a founding partner of Haug Barron Law Group. That firm formation marked the start of his steady involvement in regional litigation and appellate work. Over time he built a practice rooted in courtroom procedure and appellate filing requirements. He has maintained professional association memberships and participates in activities tied to the bar and local legal community.
He is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. That combination allows him to represent clients in state trial courts and to pursue appeals at the federal circuit level. Colleagues describe him as someone who attends closely to court rules and filing deadlines. He has managed matters that moved from initial filings to briefed appeals, a path that requires both trial preparation and appellate drafting.
His office is listed at 8237 Dunwoody Place, where he meets clients and prepares court submissions. As a founding partner he shares responsibility for case strategy, client intake and supervising other lawyers at the firm. His role has involved both courtroom appearances and the drafting of pleadings, motions and briefs. He has handled the administrative aspects of running a small firm as well as its legal work.
Outside the courtroom he keeps active in professional circles. Records indicate current membership in relevant legal associations, and he remains engaged in activities that support practice standards and continuing legal education. That participation informs his work and keeps him current on procedural developments affecting litigation in Georgia and in the Eleventh Circuit.
He currently centers his practice at Haug Barron Law Group, representing clients in matters handled in Georgia courts and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
