About Jake

Jake Slowik pursued his undergraduate studies at Cornell University before moving on to Harvard Law School. He spent his formative academic years in institutions known for rigorous programs and high expectations. Those classrooms set a tone for a career that has ranged from large-firm practice to a small boutique office focused on individual clients.

After completing his legal education, Slowik entered private practice. In 2012 he joined Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP as an associate. He spent time in the firm's New York environment learning the routines of big-firm work—document drafting, client meetings and the collaborative pace of firm life. That period offered a close look at how complex legal matters are staffed and resolved across teams.

Slowik is licensed to practice in both Georgia and New York. He holds membership in the State Bar of Georgia and has been listed there since 2015. That affiliation ties him into the Georgia legal community and its professional networks. While his background includes experience in a metropolitan New York firm, his professional registrations reflect activity in two different state systems.

In the years after his stint at Fried Frank, Slowik established his own practice, Slowik Estate Planning. He moved from a structured firm setting to a practice that permits more direct work with individuals and families. The switch changed the scale and tempo of his work. It also shifted the day-to-day tasks toward counseling, drafting estate documents and guiding clients through end-of-life planning options.

Slowik Estate Planning handles wills and trusts, estate administration and related probate matters. Clients who come to the office typically seek practical documents and clear explanations of how estate tools will operate. In that setting Slowik manages both the drafting of legal instruments and the procedural steps required when an estate is administered. He works with clients in Georgia and with matters that touch on New York law when appropriate. He now leads Slowik Estate Planning, where he handles estate planning, trust administration and probate matters.
