About Jacob

Jacob Rennick earned a B.A. in Spanish from Eastern Kentucky University in 2010 and completed his J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2013. His path through two different regions of the country shaped the early contours of his legal education. He studied law in New Orleans and left law school prepared to work in jurisdictions that rely on different legal traditions.

After law school he began practicing in Louisiana. In 2014 he joined E. Orum Young Law LLC as a lawyer. That early period of practice gave him experience in law office operations and client representation. He handled matters that required an understanding of state procedures and learned how to manage cases from intake to resolution.

Rennick later moved to Pelican Law, joining that firm in 2021. His work there has kept him engaged in state-level practice across two neighboring jurisdictions. He participates in case preparation, client consultations, and courtroom proceedings where appropriate. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his approach to casework and steady in managing deadlines and filings.

He is licensed to practice in both Texas and Louisiana. That dual registration has required him to master procedural differences and local practice customs. It also means he can advise clients whose matters touch both states. He maintains membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association and remains active in the professional networks that surround state practice.

Rennick’s undergraduate training in Spanish continues to inform how he communicates with clients. Language skills can be useful in client interviews, document review, and when coordinating with witnesses or outside parties. He brings that practical ability to day-to-day casework and uses it to ensure clearer exchanges and better client understanding.

Today he practices out of Pelican Law LLC. His background includes years in Louisiana practice and several more recent years at Pelican Law, where he combines courtroom experience, case management, and client counseling. He focuses his current practice on matters arising under Texas and Louisiana law.
