Jacob Kadavil George is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001. His license is currently in active status. Mr. George is a partner at Mathew & George, a law firm located in Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout California and other jurisdictions.
Mr. George earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1993. He then pursued graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, obtaining a Master of Arts degree in 1996. In 1999, he graduated from Loyola Law School with a Juris Doctor degree, where he was a member of the Moot Court Competition.
Mr. George concentrates his practice in employment law, focusing on cases involving wage theft, discrimination, and wrongful termination. He represents employees in class action wage theft and discrimination lawsuits, serving as lead counsel in numerous wage and hour class and collective actions across various industries. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. George has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at Greene Broillet Taylor Wheeler & Panish, a plaintiff’s trial law firm, for several years.
Mr. George is an active member of the State Bar of California, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), and the Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHA). He is also a member of The California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA). He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California, as well as the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. George is fluent in English and has proficiency in Hadza, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
