Jack Peggs is an attorney based in Wichita, Kansas, with over four decades of experience in personal injury, business law, and estate planning. Mr. Peggs earned his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 1970 — Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Arts at Creighton University in 1967. After obtaining his law degree, he was admitted to the Kansas Bar in 1970. Over the years, he has expanded his legal credentials and is now licensed to practice in several federal courts, including the U.S.
District Court for the District of Kansas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. Tax Court. The U.S. Supreme Court. Throughout his career, Mr. Peggs has held several notable positions that have shaped his legal expertise. He served as an Assistant District Attorney and Chief of the Appellate Section in the 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
In this role, he prosecuted felony cases and supervised the appellate section, gaining inexperience in criminal law. Additionally, he was appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Kansas, where he assisted in investigations involving alleged antitrust violations by major oil companies, further broadening his legal acumen. Peggs has made contributions to legal scholarship. He authored "The Insanity Defense: Practice and Procedure," published in the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association in 1982. He also wrote "Rule 11: Advocacy's Newest Challenge," featured in Case and Comment, Vol. 93 in 1988. His commitment to legal education extends to lecturing at Wichita State University and serving as an instructor and Kansas Director for the American Institute of Paralegal Studies. Mr. Peggs is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Kansas Bar Association, the Wichita Bar Association, the American Bar Association.
