About Jack H.
Jack H. Genser graduated from Tufts University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and earned his juris doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1991. He moved from an undergraduate study of government into legal training at a time when commercial and civil litigation were evolving rapidly. Those academic years shaped the basic tools he would use at the bar: analysis, persuasion and the mechanics of trial advocacy.
His professional life is anchored in New York. He is a partner at Genser Dubow Genser & Cona. Colleagues and clients at the firm rely on him for steady handling of matters that require courtroom experience and transactional judgment. He has built a practice that sits at the intersection of dispute resolution and business matters.
Genser’s memberships reflect how he organizes his professional activity. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the New York State Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. Those affiliations place him in both statewide and county-level legal communities and connect him to national trial practice networks.
In court, his background in trial advocacy informs his approach to contested matters. Outside the courtroom he works on issues that touch business clients, including contract and commercial disputes that carry both legal and practical consequences. He handles pretrial strategy, motions practice and settlement discussions in ways that aim to align legal remedies with client objectives.
Peers describe him as a lawyer who is comfortable in the courtroom and conversant with the paperwork of business law. He moves between hearings and client conferences with the familiarity that comes from years at the same firm. That continuity has allowed him to develop working relationships across Long Island and the New York legal community.
Over the years his resume has remained consistent: a law degree from UConn, an undergraduate degree from Tufts, active engagement in bar associations and a partnership at a New York firm. He maintains an active practice in New York, handling both business matters and litigation for clients across a range of disputes.
He currently practices business and litigation matters in New York.
