About Daniel William
Daniel William Aiello earned his law degree from SUNY Buffalo Law School. He is admitted to practice in New York. Those early academic years set the stage for a career built around courtroom work and civil litigation.
His first professional steps included work inside an insurance company and in private practice. In 2015 he worked as a lawyer at Geico and also took a trial lawyer role at Cellino & Barnes that same year. That mix of insurer-side and law firm experience gave him a view of how cases are handled on both sides of the aisle.
Aiello moved into more sustained litigation work after those initial roles. By 2020 he had advanced to senior trial lawyer at Cellino Law. In that capacity he has taken on lead responsibilities in preparing cases for trial, overseeing discovery, and presenting arguments in court. The title reflects a shift from supporting roles to positions with greater management of case strategy and courtroom responsibilities.
Colleagues describe his background as spanning multiple aspects of civil litigation. His time at an insurer exposed him to claims handling, coverage questions, and the internal mechanics of defense litigation. His work at trial firms exposed him to plaintiff-oriented litigation and the pressures of preparing cases for jury or bench trials. He brings those experiences together when evaluating risk, structuring litigation plans, and handling courtroom tasks.
Aiello’s daily work combines litigation drafting, motion practice, client counseling, and trial preparation. He regularly works on pleadings, takes and defends depositions, and coordinates with experts when technical issues arise. He also handles negotiations and settlement discussions when they serve a client’s objectives, but he has spent significant time in the courtroom presenting cases to judges and juries.
Since joining Cellino Law as a senior trial lawyer, he has continued to concentrate on trial-related work and civil litigation matters. He maintains an active practice at Cellino Law focused on trial litigation and insurance-related civil disputes.
