About Jack

Jack Green earned his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2001. He left law school at a moment when regional legal markets were shifting, and he built a steady practice in the Pacific Northwest over the next two decades. His education at Lewis & Clark provided a foundation in courtroom procedure and client counseling that he would carry into private practice.

He is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington. Early in his career he joined a regional firm and within a few years moved into partnership. In 2006 he became a partner at Green & Ritchie, PLLC. That promotion marked a shift from associate responsibilities to managing client files, mentoring junior attorneys and helping shape firm strategy.

Outside the office, Green has taken on roles in bar-related organizations. He serves as Vice President of the Donald Simpson Inns of Court, a position that involves organizing programs, mentoring newer lawyers and fostering professional standards among practitioners. The role keeps him connected to trial practice and to the community of judges and lawyers who make up the Inns.

His day-to-day work has ranged across litigation and transactional matters. Over time he has handled contested cases and negotiated settlements, drafted pleadings and contracts, and worked directly with clients on practical solutions. He keeps an even pace. He balances courtroom preparation with client meetings and the administrative demands of partnership.

At Green & Ritchie, Lawyers at Law, he practices with colleagues he has known for years. He joined the firm as partner in 2006 and remains there today. His practice reaches clients in both Oregon and Washington, and he spends his time on matters that require local knowledge and hands-on legal work. He continues to serve in leadership at the Donald Simpson Inns of Court while maintaining his private practice, representing clients across the two-state area.
