About J. Grady
J. Grady Hepworth began his legal path in the Pacific Northwest. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Idaho in 2010, then returned to school at the University of Washington School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2017.
While in law school he sought courtroom experience early and often. He interned at the Idaho Supreme Court in 2015 and at the United States Federal District Court for the District of Idaho in 2016. In 2017 he served as an extern for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Those placements exposed him to appellate work and federal practice and helped shape the practical side of his training.
After law school Hepworth joined Hepworth Law Offices as a junior partner in 2017. His membership in the Idaho State Bar began that same year. He also took part in professional organizations that connect trial attorneys and members of the bench and bar. He joined the American Inns of Court as an associate in 2018 and has been a member of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association since 2017. He served as an ITLA District Director from 2020 to 2021.
His earliest public credential dates to 2014, when he received a Certified Ally recognition from Stop the Hate. That sits alongside his continuing court experience from internships and his ongoing role at a private firm. He maintains offices in Boise and Twin Falls, anchoring practice in two distinct Idaho communities.
Colleagues describe Hepworth as methodical in court preparation and steady at trial settings. He has worked across state and federal dockets in Idaho. Engagement in local professional groups has been a consistent part of his career, and he has taken on volunteer and leadership roles through those memberships.
He balances litigation work with community ties tied to both Boise and Twin Falls. In practice he represents clients across Idaho, drawing on courtroom exposure at trial and appellate levels accumulated since his internships. As of 2026 he continues to work out of Hepworth Law Offices’ Boise and Twin Falls locations, handling litigation and client representation in Idaho.
