About J. David
J. David Greene began his path to law after completing undergraduate work at the University of South Alabama and earning a J.D. from Jones School of Law. He entered the legal profession prepared for courtroom practice. Those early academic years gave him a practical grounding in legal research and courtroom procedure.
He launched Greene & Phillips - Injury Lawyers in 1998 and serves as a founding partner. Building a trial practice from the ground up required steady work and a readiness to handle difficult cases. Over time the firm established a presence that includes a Birmingham office.
Greene’s courtroom work has centered on injury litigation. He has handled a range of civil matters arising from accidents and claims of negligence. Trial work accounts for much of his docket. That experience has kept him in regular contact with judges, juries and other attorneys across Alabama.
Outside the courtroom he is active in professional circles. He is a member of the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and belongs to the American Association for Justice. He also holds membership in the American Bar Association and participates in the Paul W. Brock Inns of Court. Those affiliations reflect his ongoing engagement with developments in trial practice and civil litigation.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and direct in preparing cases for trial. He favors clear presentation of facts and plainspoken arguments before a jury. In negotiations he is steady rather than theatrical. Clients who work with him can expect an emphasis on documentation and factual clarity when claims are pursued or settled.
Today he continues at Greene & Phillips - Injury Lawyers, where the firm sees cases from across Alabama and maintains a Birmingham office. He handles personal injury matters and related civil litigation. His current practice centers on personal injury litigation in Alabama.
