About Itamar
Itamar Levy's path to law began after a decade that started with business school in Buffalo. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2001. That early grounding in business informs his approach to legal problems, which he later refined at law school.
Levy returned to the classroom and received his J.D. from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2012. The law curriculum and practical training there prepared him for the demands of private practice. He moved from the academic setting into the courthouse and the conference room, building a practice in two neighboring states.
He is a lawyer and managing partner at Barrows Levy PLLC. In that role he handles a mixture of managerial and client-facing responsibilities. He oversees case preparation, coordinates with colleagues, and participates directly in client counseling and courtroom work. Peers describe him as methodical; clients see him as accessible and straightforward.
Levy is licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York. He maintains an active practice that spans the procedural and substantive differences between the two jurisdictions. That dual admission allows him to advise clients whose matters touch both states, and to coordinate filings and strategy when cases cross state lines.
Over the years he has built a practice that balances litigation and counseling. He works with individuals and business clients, guiding them through disputes and transactional decisions. His business background shapes how he evaluates risk and frames options for clients. He tends to emphasize practical outcomes rather than theoretical solutions.
Colleagues say Levy is hands-on in mentoring junior attorneys at the firm. He allocates time to review briefs, prepare witnesses, and refine arguments. He also attends court appearances and settlement negotiations, often taking the lead on matters where continuity from intake through resolution matters to the client.
Outside of day-to-day casework he keeps current on developments in state law that affect his clients. He adapts firm procedures to reflect changes in rules and practice. He balances administrative duties with a steady docket of matters that require direct attorney involvement.
He currently focuses his practice on representing clients in New Jersey and New York.
