About Ingrid M.
Ingrid M. Evans began her academic path at the University of California, Irvine, earning a B.A. in 1992. She moved on to the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific and received her J.D. in 1993. Those years set the groundwork for a career that has spanned federal and state courts and a string of leadership roles inside professional organizations.
Early in her career she secured admission to the California bar in 1995 and to several federal districts that same year, including the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Over time she added admissions to district courts in Michigan, New York and elsewhere, and gained authority to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005 and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 2010. These credentials supported a practice that engages courts at multiple levels.
Evans moved into firm leadership in 2010 when she became a founding partner of Evans Law Office, Inc. That step followed many years of involvement in professional associations and committee work. She has served on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice since 2009. She has held committee and chair roles in education, law schools outreach and convention planning. Her resume lists service as Parliamentarian on an executive committee beginning in 2010 and participation on Consumer Lawyers of California’s executive committee starting in 2009.
Her association work is long-standing and varied. She has been part of the Women’s Caucus, the Class Action Litigation Group, the Firearms and Ammunition Litigation Group and the Lead Paint Litigation Group at different times. She chaired the Class Action Litigation Group from 2008 to 2010 and led the Women’s Caucus in 2008–2009. In 2009 she was a finalist for Consumer Lawyer of the Year, recognition that reflects peer attention to her courtroom and organizational activity.
Colleagues and clients who have worked with Evans note her steady participation in committee-level work and governance. She has taken on roles that range from planning and education to public affairs and legislative committees. That pattern suggests a practitioner who invests time in the institutions that shape litigation practice as well as in individual cases.
Today Ingrid M. Evans practices through Evans Law Office, Inc. She continues to hold admissions to state and federal courts and remains active in national and state trial lawyer organizations. Her current practice concentrates on consumer protection and class action litigation and related complex civil matters.
