About Ian M

Ian M Kirtman studied political science at the University of Florida, attending from 2003 and completing a B.A. (2007). He then went on to the University of Miami School of Law, beginning in 2007 and earning a J.D. (2010). Those formative years set the course for a career rooted in trial work and client advocacy.

Kirtman entered the Florida legal market after law school and built experience handling cases for individuals hurt in accidents. He joined Hersh Kirtman Injury Law, where he has been associated with the firm’s plaintiff-side practice. His work involves preparing claims, conducting discovery, and taking cases to trial when settlement is not reached.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in case development. He focuses on the details that often determine outcomes: timely investigations, witness interviews, and the careful assembly of medical and economic records. He has worked on a range of matters that typically fall under personal injury law, representing clients against insurers and in court proceedings when necessary.

Kirtman maintains current memberships in professional organizations relevant to trial practice and civil litigation. He participates in continuing legal education to stay abreast of changes in Florida law and procedure. Those activities reflect the routine demands of litigators who must track statutory updates, evidentiary rulings, and evolving insurance practices.

In the courtroom, Kirtman pursues compensatory remedies for clients who have suffered physical injuries. He manages pretrial motion practice, settlement negotiations, and jury trials. The work is often fact-intensive and adversarial. It requires a steady approach to deadlines and documentary evidence.

Outside of litigation tasks, Kirtman assists clients in understanding the practical implications of settlement offers and litigation risk. He aims to make legal options clear so clients can make informed decisions about how to proceed. That pragmatic approach guides interactions from the initial intake through resolution.

He practices in Florida and carries out his work from Hersh Kirtman Injury Law. He currently represents people injured in accidents and handles their claims for compensation in state courts in Florida.
