About Blair
Blair Fazzio built a steady legal career rooted in appellate work and public service. He completed his law degree at the University of Miami in 2007 after earning a B.S. in Political Science and Sociology from Florida State University in 2001. Those academic years set the stage for practical courtroom and court-room-adjacent experience that followed.
Early in his career he spent a summer with Becker & Poliakoff in 2009 and then moved into a judicial clerkship at the Third District Court of Appeal in 2010. The clerkship came at a formative moment. It gave him direct exposure to appellate procedure and opinion drafting, and it helped shape his interest in written advocacy. That year he also gained admission to the Florida bar, and he began to practice in the state courts.
After the clerkship he joined Akerman LLP as an associate in 2011. He then worked as an associate at Cooney Trybus Kwavnick Peets in 2012. Those early firm roles involved a mix of trial and appellate matters and provided front-line litigation experience. In 2014 he moved to the Florida Office of the Lawyer General as an Assistant Lawyer General. There he handled appeals and represented state interests in higher courts.
In 2016 he joined Kanner & Pintaluga as a senior appellate lawyer. The firm work concentrated on appellate briefing, oral argument and strategic review of trial records. Over time his responsibilities expanded to include mentoring junior lawyers and helping manage complex appellate dockets. In 2023 he became a partner at the same firm, a transition that reflected a longer tenure on appellate teams and a growing role in firm leadership.
Fazzio’s practice emphasis is appellate litigation. He writes and argues appeals in state courts and navigates the procedural nuances that can determine outcomes on appeal. His background includes both government-side representation and private firm litigation, which gives him a perspective on how trial-level decisions play out when reviewed by appellate panels.
Colleagues describe him as steady in courtroom settings and rigorous on the page. He remains active in the Florida State Bar since 2010 and continues to handle appeals and related matters at Kanner & Pintaluga. His current practice handles appellate litigation and related matters.
