About Harold
Harold Callaway earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1997 after beginning his legal studies in 1994. His time at Alabama placed him in the company of classmates who would enter private practice, corporate counsel roles and public service across the Southeast. He finished law school as the late 1990s reshaped legal practice, and he carried that moment into the start of his career.
After graduating, he entered legal practice and has worked as an attorney for more than two decades. His career spans the period when technology began altering firm operations and client expectations. He has navigated changes in courtroom procedure and the growing use of electronic discovery. Over the years he has worked with a variety of clients and on a range of legal matters, developing practical approaches to problem solving and case management.
Colleagues describe him as steady and detail-oriented. He favors clear writing and careful preparation. In court he has emphasized practical presentation over rhetorical flourish. In transactional matters he has focused on clarity in agreements and on anticipating areas of future dispute. Those habits reflect a pragmatic approach rather than a single, narrow specialty.
Outside the office he has kept ties to the legal community through continuing legal education and professional contacts. He has participated in seminars and panels, and he has mentored younger lawyers on courtroom procedure and file management. His experience has given him a perspective on shifts in practice — from paper records to digital case files, and from traditional billing models to alternative arrangements.
As of 2026 he continues to practice law and represents clients in a range of matters. He maintains an active caseload and applies decades of courtroom and transactional experience to the legal issues his clients bring him. His current practice focuses on serving individuals and organizations seeking practical legal solutions.
