About Gregory

Gregory Reaume trained first as a psychologist and then turned to law. He earned an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2007 and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2011. Those two paths — psychology and law — shape how he approaches problems: methodical, attentive to detail, and alert to how people react under pressure.

He began practicing law after law school and launched Wallace Legal in 2016. That venture gave him early experience running a practice and handling client matters directly. He joined McInerney & Dillon, PC in 2019, then moved to Haight Brown & Bonesteel, LLP in 2021. In 2022 he took an in-house counsel role at Kiewit, and in 2024 he worked in-house at Kairos Power. The record shows roles in private practice and inside corporate legal departments, a mix that reflects both litigation-adjacent work and corporate transactional demands.

Reaume is admitted to practice in California and Colorado. He maintains professional ties across legal and construction industries. He holds a broker license from the California Department of Real Estate and serves as Legal Committee Secretary for the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange. He is a member of the American Bar Association and holds membership on the Construction Law Board of the Sacramento County Bar Association. Those roles keep him connected to local builders, developers, and construction counsel.

His background in psychology surfaces in client interactions and negotiation. Colleagues describe him as precise in drafting and careful in assessing risk. His time as in-house counsel at a major contractor and later at an energy technology company exposed him to contract drafting, vendor relationships, compliance issues, and claims that arise on large projects. Those experiences complement his work on real estate and construction matters brought through private practice.

He has moved between firm work and corporate counsel positions several times. That movement has given him perspective on how outside counsel and corporate legal teams operate and how they manage budgets and workflow. It also shaped his approach to problem solving — practical and oriented toward resolution rather than prolonged dispute.

Reaume currently lists Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP as an office affiliation and continues to combine construction, real estate, and corporate counsel matters in his practice. He currently practices law focusing on construction and real estate matters alongside corporate in-house legal work.
