About Gregory P.
Gregory P. Farrar graduated from the University of South Florida in 1983 with a B.A. in liberal arts and earned his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 1986. His path through law began in the 1980s, a period he describes as decisive for choosing private practice over other routes. Education laid the groundwork for a career that has spanned trial work, mediation and community service.
He founded Farrar Law Office in 1986, the same year he joined the Florida Bar. Over the decades he has maintained admissions in several federal jurisdictions, including the Federal Circuit and the 1st Circuit, and he is also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials reflect a practice that has engaged with a range of federal and state matters rather than a single narrow niche.
Farrar holds certification as a Florida Supreme Court Family Law Mediator through the Florida Bar. That credential complements years of courtroom experience and informs how he approaches disputes. He has handled matters that require negotiation and settlement as well as litigation. The mediation certificate signals an ability to manage family law disputes outside of trial, but he continues to represent clients at all stages when necessary.
Beyond his practice, Farrar has taken on organizational and leadership roles in the legal community. He currently serves as president of Northwest Florida Legal Services, Inc., and holds board membership there. He is vice-president of the Escarosa Bar Association and serves on the executive council of the Escambia Bar Association. His work also extends to the local real estate community through a board role with the Escambia County Real Estate Council. He has been a member of the Florida Bar and the Escarosa Bar Association since 1986, reflecting long-standing engagement with professional organizations.
Colleagues describe Farrar as steady and practical in his approach to cases. He combines courtroom familiarity with mediation training, and he has balanced private practice with civic involvement in northwest Florida. For clients, that can translate into counsel that is comfortable both in negotiation settings and under the pressure of litigation. He continues to practice at Farrar Law Office, handling family law mediation and a range of civil matters.
