Gregory Mark Shanfeld is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in both California and Texas. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1994 and the Texas State Bar in 2004. Mr. Shanfeld is a founding partner at Wadhwani & Shanfeld, A Professional Law Corporation, a law firm specializing in bankruptcy and debt relief services. The firm's main office is located at 15233 Ventura Blvd., Suite 1000, Sherman Oaks, California, with additional offices in Lancaster, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Ontario, and Palmdale, California.
Mr. Shanfeld earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1994. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1991. During his time at USC Gould, he was a member of the Law Review and participated in the school's clinical legal education program.
Mr. Shanfeld concentrates his practice in the areas of consumer bankruptcy law, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings, debt settlement, and foreclosure protection. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving credit card debt, student loans, tax obligations, and other financial concerns through the bankruptcy process. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Shanfeld has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Shanfeld is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Shanfeld is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
