About Glenn P
Glenn P Justis began his professional life in the military-style classrooms of The Citadel. He left there in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Years later he returned to formal study and earned his J.D. from Charleston School of Law in 2007.
His early legal work was in the 1st Circuit Solicitor’s Office. He served as a law clerk in 2005 and returned as an assistant solicitor in 2007. Those years in the solicitor’s office put him in courtrooms and into contact with the procedural realities of criminal prosecution. He handled filings, prepared for hearings and learned how case theory meets evidence under pressure.
Those courtroom years are part of a broader pattern in his life: a mix of public service and hands-on leadership. He has been a Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America since 2007, guiding young people through outdoor skills and civic lessons. He has also held membership in the Dorchester County Bar since 2007 and joined the Appalachian Trail Conservancy as a member in 2017. Outside the courthouse he maintains a Wilderness First Aid/CPR/AED certification through ECSI, a credential that reflects an interest in outdoor safety and practical preparedness.
He moved into private practice after his time in the solicitor’s office. Today he is the principal of The Justis Law Office, LLC. His practice is based in South Carolina and built on the experience he gained in public prosecution. He is familiar with courtroom procedure, evidentiary work and the rhythms of local courts. Clients encounter an attorney who has handled substantive case preparation and has walked trials through to resolution.
Colleagues and community members know him for steady participation in local institutions. His long tenure as Scoutmaster and his involvement in regional conservation work show repeated, hands-on involvement rather than occasional donations or honorary mentions. He also maintains active ties to the Dorchester County Bar, where he has been a member since the beginning of his career.
He continues to practice law through The Justis Law Office, LLC in South Carolina, applying his prosecutorial background and court experience to matters that arise in state courts.
